I designed and delivered a variety of art workshops for the thirteen to eighteen year olds. I developed these workshops to be fun and engaging as a diversion for young people in difficult situations.

I taught drawing, screen printing, sculpture and Adobe Photoshop. The success of the workshops led to me being approached to supply an ongoing project with eighteen to twenty-five year-olds. I liaised with the activities co-ordinator and developed a magazine produced by the patients, giving them a forum to talk and interact through new ideas and allay fears.

I helped them to design layout and generate content using the Adobe suite. This proved popular and a new and therapeutic way of addressing problems they faced. The role challenged me approach a project in creative ways whilst still keeping the core direction focused on the primary objectives of patient enjoyment, interaction and engagement in the subject.
